Just for Elle operates an e-boutique called Beauté Secrète that specializes in French luxury lingerie. Since its launch in September 2009 the website has primarily served the French market, although it ships products globally. In 2012 Beauté Secrète increased its focus on international sales, starting with review of its Anglophone website, online recognition and search engine optimization.
I began my work with Just for Elle by researching key words relevant to the business and key target markets. A review of the website’s English content is was carried out to offer a more ‘native’ experience for English-speaking shoppers.
I also helped Beauté Secrète by managing their English language social media presence on Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter as well as the shop’s lingerie blog. Our objective was to build a dynamic online community of lingerie lovers and to develop a devoted customer base outside of France.
Beth’s biculturalism is a real asset for us. She understands French culture as well as the cultures and habits of our target markets. Her insights, languages and writing skills have been very useful as we take our business global.
